It definitely will end, though it’s unlikely to happen during our lifetimes.
But due to the way stars (our sun included) work, it means that eventually it will lose all of its energy and wink out of existence, making life on earth as we know it impossible. This is many millions of years away, however, and we will have probably died out as a species long before that ever happens. So no need to worry 🙂
