      Something like 99% of all species who have ever existed are now extinct.

      Maybe we’ll be the lucky ones…

      I think so eventually….
      I don’t find this depressing though, we’re just a thread in the tapestry of life, threads come and go but life will likely on. I take comfort that deep sea fish were around long before humans and will be around long after humans!
