It’s like a big puzzle to solve, and you have to use all your knowledge, creativity and skills to do so. Also, as I study human biology, I find it really interesting to find out how my body works, and how different systems interact and fit together to keep me alive!

I research human evolution, so for me the wonder of the scientific field I work in is that the more we find out about our human ancestors the more questions we generate about them. It’s like a big snowball, the more we know, the more we want to find out about these past humans. So it is an extremely satisfying and interesting job. It is also an important job for the modern world as we can learn from the past to prepare for the future.

Science is interesting to me mainly because will never know the answers to every single question we could ever ask, so the possibilities for gaining knowledge are essentially endless, which is exciting for me!

I enjoy the fact that it is always changing and evolving. There is no room for complacency, and it is always interesting and challenging. With every experiment and published paper, you find out a little bit more about an idea, theory or (in my case) what factors shape who we are.

The detective work, the variety of different challenges, the opportunity to be the first person ever to see or learn something new, many things!

Science is the best way we have to asking questions about the world, how it works, and its history. I can’t think of anything more interesting than that.
