Great question. A doctor in Birmingham has worked out that only about 4% (4 in 100 pregnancies) arrive on the due date!

If a pregnancy is straightforward, he suggested 60% will deliver within one week of their due date (before or after) and 90% are within two weeks either side of the due date.
First pregnancies are often later than the due date.
