This is a good question. There are a number of reasons why humans partake in cannibalism, for ritual or funerary reasons, survival and criminal as a few examples. So in that instance it’s not possible to say how many cannibals there are. However, there some indigenous tribes in the Amazon, African and India that practice funerary cannibalism. This is where they eat a piece of a dead relative to honour them, remember them and and carry them forward in their lives.
