I am still not too sure myself, if I’m honest.

I was contacted at work by one of the team at the Royal Institution. She wanted advice on how to go about getting a scan of a pregnancy for the live show. I started to advise her about this, as Alice thought it would be a good way to show the audience how a human forms within a sac and has a placenta. After a few conversations, during which we talked about the practicalities, how to get a machine and the safety of mum and unborn baby, I was asked to do the scan on the day & that’s how it happened.

I was contacted by the Royal Institution team for input on one of the segments for the Christmas lecture filming and started to advise on this and help them figure out what might work. It was really fun to be involved in the development aspects and some of the filming. Then I was contacted to be involved in the I’m a Scientist team.
