Having visited quite a few different areas of health care (physiotherapy, pharmacy, occupational therapy, radiography etc), I found radiography to be interesting, varied and very active. From there I knew within weeks of starting training that I wanted to do ultrasound. It involves close contact with patients, so I can have a chat whilst I’m scanning them, this way I get to find out all the things that the doctor hasn’t had space to write on the request, which helps me to make a better diagnosis.
